Use Case

Dynamic Lock Screen

A screensaver can be used to protect digital workspaces from unauthorized access. The lock screen is activated when there is no keyboard input or mouse movement after a defined time interval.

Although only one idle time interval can be configured by default, deviceTRUST enables the dynamic configuration of different idle time intervals depending on the environment in which the employee is located.

For example, if the employee is inside the company building, 10 minutes of idle time might be appropriate, while setting the meeting room idle time to 30 minutes might make more sense. If the employee is working from home, five minutes might be the best choice. If it is not clear where the employee is, for example on a train while on a business trip or in a public café, the session’s idle time can be set to one minute. This prevents unlocked devices from being viewed by unauthorized persons when the employee is away.
